  • Development Plot Z is the recently vacated former headquarters of the Automobile Association (AA), including Fanum House and landscaping. The site extends to circa 3.2 ha (7.8 acres) and is surrounded by dense vegetation to the north with railway line beyond, A339 to the east and Basing View to the west.
  • Development Plot Z an 18-storey building, built in 1970 and extends to circa 225,000 sq ft. It measures at 83 metres high, making it the second tallest building in Basingstoke, surpassed only recently by the Skyline Plaza Development.
  • Development Plot Z has public right of way that currently runs along the northern edge of the site, adjacent to the railway line. The site is located within Flood Zone 1 and does not sit within or adjacent to any conservation areas. There are also no Tree Preservation Orders on the site or other planning constraints that we are aware of that may restrict development.

  • Basing View is 10 minutes’ walk from the town centre and railway station, it is strategically located in the south of England, five minutes’ drive from the M3, 45 minutes by train to London, 45 minutes’ drive to Heathrow and two major south coast ports.

This plot is located in  the uptown sub-area where office uses will be supported as well as residential development and small scale complementary leisure, retail, restaurant, medical and educational uses.
