  • Basing View is designated as a business location in the Local Plan and will be protected as a high quality strategic employment site for employment use. It will support the role of Basingstoke town by encouraging economic prosperity and inward investment. Basing View Policy SS8 relates specifically to Basing View and sets out  existing policy with employment use being the core protected use. SS8 supports some mixed use with commercial employment space and provides for complementary uses including the provision of residential units in some areas.
  • Plot C is located in the Downtown sub-area associated with policy SS8 where office uses and a mix of town centre uses including retail, residential and leisure uses will be supported.
